Hi, the "best" classes are the most desired ones and can find any party they want: are supports (Paladin and Bard). Another desired class is Gunlancer because is a good dps, tanky af, and can shield+dispell debuff the party which is the most support oriented from dps classes. My favourite class is arcanist, but it's not really a good choice for a new player. Very investment heavy and takes quite a bit of practice to pilot it. Personally, I'd suggest picking a DPS class as your first for the story, getting to Punika and then boosting a support with the Punika pass. Bard is more caster oriented and HK is more big man with big sword oriented with some glowy angel shit. One thing that many people notice though is the sound, specifically with the bard (in a bad way). 5. Peace maker gunslinger is the most fun for me since it gives a lot of options for different situations, and learning skill rotations for each situation is hard to master but fun to play. Personally, I'd suggest picking a DPS class as your first for the story, getting to Punika and then boosting a support with the Punika pass. Artillerist isn't really that ranged. I play close/mid. Very high stagger and destruction. Need good knowledge of mechanics due to attack delays. But I've played all the classes and I have the most fun playing the Artillerist. Zerker: because i love the PvE and PvP (non swirl, swirl is boring) Style of this class, high CC, high dmg, longer animations, high CDs, every skill counts but in zerker even more. High numbers with CD +animations feels balanced, but also melee on top.The class can stay at mid range and just dish out damage even if the guardian gets in your face you can just shield or use a ability with protection ruin or one of the build in shields in the damaging abilities.
